For the last few weeks, I have been looking closely at eliminating the “reference only” screening policy. As clients of Kentucky Desire already know (as does anyone else who has read our screening page) new clients are screened either through employment verification or by being vouched for by two very reputable references. These procedures are common practice and have kept our girls safe…so far. However, given the mindset of some of these “references” I am becoming more and more reluctant to rely solely on that method when granting a new client access to Kentucky Desire.
–
“Reputable” from a client’s perspective does not necessarily translate to “professional” from where I sit. Just because someone does their job well -as proven by testimony- does not mean they won’t do petty things like try to hold clients hostage by refusing to give references.
–
Kentucky Desire Client Screening will be implementing new procedures in the near future. Getting the jerk around is generally not something that I just forget about. Here are a some notable examples of just what I have went through the last couple weeks trying to get references.
–
Despite all this though, new clients were approved EVERY SINGLE DAY.
–
Example 1: Gentlemen submits full info (employment & references). One reference heard of him, said he was fine. Work checked out okay – this guy was truthful about everything. So a client code was issued even though the second reference had no idea who he was – even put me on hold while she double-checked her notes. Then it was “no sweetheart I’ve never seen him.” No big deal. Funny thing though, the guy calls later that evening to book an appointment. He specifically asked me what his references had said about him. I told him one said he was “A-Okay” and the other had never heard of him. He laughed and said he already knew which one hadn’t heard of him. She called him just minutes after getting off the phone with me and told him that she “had a good rate goin’ on right now for her favorite clients.” Funny how she had never heard of the gentleman when I asked, LOL!

Examples 2-5: Four people just ignored my request completely and never responded at all
- one particular gal did so twice.!
–
Example 6 is an actual e-mail response I got from a reference request.
Hello Brad,
You are a LITTLE LATE on the verification request. He wanted the appt. for WED. because I was out of town. I have an appt. this evening with him. Looks like you just lost $$$. You need to email faster or get someone who can. That is not a very good way to conduct business. But yes he is a nice looking gentleman from Seattle, WA.–
Are you kidding me? Just who in the hell do you think you are talking to here!

OK, I believe in delegating some things but screening is NOT one of them. Its far too important. Its hard to train people to screen properly plus I’d worry constantly about stuff like discretion and people’s privacy. As for the money I lost, oh well. I ”just lost” way more “$$$$$$” than that this week by not booking lots of other people who hadn’t been screened. I even had to disappoint some pre-screened clients just due to the way things worked out – which is why I am still interviewing females seeking escort work. SAFETY BEFORE MONEY is the way I conduct business.

I almost never have a problem with agencies giving me references or with professional independents who don’t rely on these little cliques to survive. (Oh, and any gal who is in one of these little cliques and thinks they won’t eventually be stabbed in the back are kidding themselves. I advise that bunch to seriously rethink some things.)
